Eastern residential district with a surprisingly good run of restaurants and the city's two best neighbourhood patisseries.
What it is
Blocks, east of the centre, and no sights at all. What Rovine has instead is a genuinely good run of places to eat that locals use and visitors never find: Le Baron, Still Garden, Nunta Zamfirei steak house and VENTUNO, which holds a 4.9. Cofetăria Damarin and Cuptorul Cozonacilor are the patisseries, and Wave 84 is the one nightlife listing outside the centre worth the taxi.
Why you might end up here
For dinner, deliberately, if you are staying a week and have run out of centre. Not to sleep — there are no hotels listed — and not to sightsee, because there is nothing to see.
