Secondary schools in Craiova

Every high school in the city with its address and phone — and why we send you to the Ministry for the admission marks.

Craiova's secondary schools, with addresses and phone numbers. The city's best known are the national colleges — Frații Buzești, Carol I, Elena Cuza, Nicolae Titulescu — plus the military college Tudor Vladimirescu, which admits nationally rather than locally.

We do not publish admission cut-offs

The last mark admitted to each school changes every single year, is published by the Ministry after the national computerised allocation, and is the number families plan around. Publishing last year's figures without that context is how a child ends up applying to the wrong school.

The official allocation and its results are at admitere.edu.ro, and the county list is handled by the Dolj school inspectorate. That is the only version worth planning on, and it is updated when the allocation runs.

What we can say, and what does not change year to year:

  • The order of the national colleges at the top of the list is stable. Which one is first varies by a few tenths; which four are in the group does not.
  • A technological college is not a worse school, it is a different one — it leads to a qualification as well as a baccalaureate, and for a child who knows what they want to do that is an advantage rather than a fallback.
  • The military college admits on its own national competition, with its own calendar and physical requirements, and it is not part of the ordinary county allocation.

Before the allocation

Go to the open days. Every school on this list runs them in spring, they are the only way to see the building and meet the teachers, and they cost nothing but a Saturday morning.

Addresses, phones and opening patterns come from each place's own Google listing and are refreshed when the ingestion runs. Phone before travelling at an odd hour.
