At about 1,600 m in the Parâng, 134 km and a measured 2 h 15 min from Craiova, and ten to fifteen degrees cooler than the plain — which is the whole argument in July and August. It fills up on winter weekends and over Christmas and New Year, the high Transalpina over the Urdele pass is shut for winter, and winter tyres are a legal requirement.
